CrucialTec to Supply Its Fingerprint Recognition Modules to Super-High-Priced Smartphones

CrucialTec is supplying its fingerprint recognition modules to super-high-priced Smartphones that are specialized for security.

CrucialTec (CEO An, Keon-joon and Kim Jong-bin) made an announcement on the 8th that it will be supplying mobile fingerprint recognition module BTP (Biometric TrackPad) and algorithms to Sirin Labs, which is a newly-established joint-company by England and Israel. CrucialTec’s modules and algorithms will be used for Sirin Labs’ Smartphone called Solarin.

Solarin was released on the 31st of last month in London at a whopping price of 9,500 GBP ($14,000). It is a Smartphone that is emphasized on security as it can be even used for military purposes. BTP that is installed on the back of Solarin confirms an user and it encodes all personal information such as calls, messages and others in security mode. These information can only be confirmed through an approved device.

Sirin Labs’ Solarin

Sirin Labs is a special business that develops products by focusing only on high-tech technologies regardless of price. It had received 49 million GBP ($71.3 million) from investors in Israel, China, and Kazakhstan and had spent 2 years in developing Solarin.

“Although demands for Solarin is small as it is a product for people such as high-ranking executives, fund managers, celebrities and others who are extremely sensitive towards their personal information, it has world’s best security system.” said a representative for CrucialTec. “Fact that Solarin has CrucialTec’s BTP modules and algorithms shows a direct example that our technical skills and stability are recognized worldwide.”

CrucialTec has been supplying fingerprint recognition modules to 57 types of Smartphones from 16 global manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, VIVO, Nexus, and others and it is expanding its business towards credit cards, PC mouse and others.
