cafe24 and the Presidential Committee on Young Generation: K-Style Young Entrepreneurs Project

cafe24 and the Presidential Committee on Young Generation (PCYG) have partnered to search for K-Style (fashion, beauty) young entrepreneurs, future leaders of e-commerce trade.

SimpleX Internet Inc., which operates the global e-commerce platform, cafe24 (CEO Jae-Suk Lee, www.cafe24corp.com/en), and PCYG (Chairman Yong-Ho Park) have announced on the 11th the kickoff of the K-Style Young Entrepreneurs Project, which will take place during the second half of the year.
The main objective of the project is to help and support young entrepreneurs in the K-Style field expand globally. They will do so by showing the rest of the world their creative designs, excellent quality, and rich shopping contents (e.g. product information, product images, videos, etc.).

To be eligible, applicants must be South Korean citizen aged between 19 and 39, and groups will be differentiated between soon-to-be or recently-launched shopping site founder(s) (Starting Group: 50 members) and stable domestic shopping site founder(s) trying to expand globally (Takeoff Group: 50 members).
Starting this September, there will be many kinds of mentoring programs, lectures, trainings, and other informational sessions. For example, participants can receive training on e-commerce trading in 5 different regions in South Korea, mentoring programs on opening and managing international shopping sites with e-commerce experts, and other personalized consulting sessions. In addition, CEOs from various successful international online shopping sites will share their achievements. 


Also, there will be a competitive exhibition with 20 million Korean Won in prize money. Winners will be selected based on their performance and results obtained throughout the duration of the project.
CEO of cafe24, Jae-Suk Lee, explained, “We are conducting this project to help young Korean entrepreneurs enter the global market through online (specialty) shopping sites.” To so do, cafe24 will be sharing its expertise and know-how on e-commerce trade and online business management. By the end of the project more young Korean entrepreneurs will be leaders of K-Style global expansion.
